Destilería Serrallés' Don Q has launched its latest offering, a double-aged sherry cask finish rum that has rolled out.
The spirit will be sold at limited, albeit unspecified, quantities through distributor Mangrove.
The rum is aged for five-to-eight years in American white oak barrels, before further aging in Sherry casks previously used for Spanish oloroso Sherry.
"This unique aging process has resulted in a rum that is complex, elegant and exceptionally pleasant to the palate," said Roberto Serrallés, business development VP for Destilería Serrallés.
In the UK, rum distillers are trying to promise the category. Earlier this year, Halewood Wines & Spirits launched Dead Man's Fingers Hemp Rum a 40%-abv expression that is infused with CBD.
A 21 years of age or older adult must be present to sign for the delivery.
